As elegant as it sounds, our evening aboard Lady Diana, a crowned “superior 5 star floating hotel” over the Nile River, was one for the books. The cruise was exemplary inside and out, like an enormous Beauty and the Beast castle on water – definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Cairo, Egypt!
We were accommodated like royalties – they even seated us in what seemed like the best seat in the house. The staff catered to me and my family with everything we desired, drinks and all. Sadly, we couldn’t really catch a glimpse of the great Nile River on our time aboard Lady Diana since there were no windows in the dining hall, directing our eyes and attention solely to the entertainment and ambiance that the evening had to offer.
The buffet on the cruise featured a variety of local Egyptian cuisine that was an adventure to our senses. Belly dancers, singers, bands, flame throwers, and performances alike lasted throughout the night and was an absolute delight!
There was even this guy clad in a dress covered with lights who turned,
and (yup, you guessed it), TURNED
for over 30 minutes non-stop! What kind of sorcery is this? 😱 The guy even hand-picked ME among the entire crowd on the cruise to give his skirt a whirl (literally!)
The funny thing was, people who approached us thought we were Chinese and even asked for a picture. I don’t even look a tiny bit of Chinese lol 😂
